Penelope Todd is the author of the novels Island and Amigas, the latter written collaboratively, in English and Spanish, with Elena Bossi. Also of seven YA novels, notably the Watermark trilogy and Box. She was an editor for Longacre Press for several years, and currently edits translations for Gecko Press. Shortlistings, residencies and grants once helped keep her writing on track but since 2011, when Rosa Mira Books began, she’s spent more time publishing. Within a year or two the situation will reverse. Ha.
